Wrestler Logan Brown is escorted into town Sunday night by two police cars, a fire truck and an ambulance in celebration of winning a state championship at the USAWKS State Folkstyle Championship in Topeka over the weekend. The team and the escorts drove down Iola’s Madison Avenue at 8 p.m. with horns honking and sirens blaring while onlookers cheered and waved. Brown led the way for the Iola Wrestling Club winning his title in the 14 and under, 265-pound division by beating Hunter Scott of Mulvane. Brown is the club’s first-ever state champion. Check the Register on Tuesday for more on Brown and the team’s performance. REGISTER/TIMOTHY EVERSON
