It had been 20 years since the Humboldt girls track and field team finished in the top-two at the Tri-Valley league meet. On Thursday, that two-decade streak was broken when the Lady Cubs turned in a second-place Tri-Valley finish at the league meet at Caney Valley.
Kaylie Johnson led the way with the only first-place finishes for the Humboldt girls. Johnson finished on top in the long jump with a distance of 167 and she set a new personal and school record in the triple jump with a distance of 358.
Lizzie Myers finished second in the high jump with a personal record height of 50 and second in the 800 with a time of 2:45.79. She also finished fifth in the javelin (972).
Savanna Puckett finished second in the 200 (27.53) and sixth in the javelin (9410).
