High School Baseball: Cubs 6, Chargers 4; Cubs 8, Chargers 2
The third-ranked Cub baseball team continued to truck its way through the Tri-Valley League Tuesday evening with a home sweep of Cherryvale.
The Cubs won game one 6-4 and game two 8-2, moving to 13-1 overall and 8-0 in league play. Theyve won five-straight since splitting with Burlington on April 12.
The Cubs opened up a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first in game one and Cherryvale cut that in half with a run in the top of the third. The Cubs answered back with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 5-1 lead.
