Third verse, same as the first — school funding is inadequate

For 17 years, Kansas legislators have searched in vain for an answer that suits their political bent in regards to school funding.

And yet, study after study arrives at the same answer: The state must spend more if educating its children is a priority.

On Friday, a new report could do no better. This time, in fact, the answer was Kansas needs to spend one-third again as much on K-12 if the goal is to better prepare a greater number of children for today’s world.
