Ragenia M. Garber, 61, Iola, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2018, at her home in Iola.
Ragenia was the oldest of six children born to Clarence Garber Jr. and Irma (Wagner) Garber. She was born on Oct. 29, 1956, in Lawrence. She grew up in Welda and attended school there. Ragenia worked as a cook at the Rocky Roost in Welda. She went on to earn her CNA accreditation and worked at several area nursing homes, including Sterling Heights, Countryside Estates and Guest Home Estates. Ragenia loved to read western novels and watch western television shows. She was known to spoil her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David on Jan. 9, 2014; and her brother, Claude Garber.
Ragenia is survived by her three children, Jason W. Garber, LaHarpe, Steven A. Garber and Hope Watts, Iola, and Debra K. Garber, Paola; three grandchildren, Andrew, Iola, Rachel, Fort Scott, and Desiree, Cherryvale; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Mike Garber and Janet, LaHarpe, Clarence Garber, Iola, Glen Garber and Tammy, LaHarpe, and Dora Kluckner and Larry, Longdale, Okla.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola. A private family inurnment will follow at the Welda Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
