Lloyd M. Kinzle, 91, formerly of Iola, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at his home in Solomon.
Lloyd was born April 2, 1923, in Florence, the son of Michael J. and Mary Ann (Johnston) Kinzle. He grew up in the Garnett area.
On Jan. 1, 1946, Lloyd married Bonnie Lou Hallam and they made their home in Iola. He worked for Pet Milk, Sleeper Furniture and Allen County Hospital over the years. Mrs. Kinzle preceded him in death July 9, 1995. He moved to Solomon three years ago. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Iola.
Survivors include eight children, Diana Townsley and husband Gene, Kincaid, Pamela Clark and husband Mike, Solomon, Jerald Kinzle and wife Karla, Trenton, Mo., Steven Kinzle and wife Frances, Iola, Bruce Kinzle and wife Debbie, Coffeyville, Scott Kinzle and wife Carolyn, Iola, Randy Kinzle, Topeka, and Brad Kinzle, Ellsworth; one sister, Colleen Gumfory, Iola; 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, twin brother Floyd, brothers Kenneth and Donald, sister Lorraine Hullet and three great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends at 10 a.m. Saturday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel, Iola, prior to leaving for graveside services at 11 a.m. at Iola Township Cemetery, east of Piqua.
