The skeletal remains found in a rural Neosho County soybean field last August have been identified as those of a Chanute woman missing since December 2017, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation announced Wednesday.
Marissa M. Craft, last seen leaving her Chanute home in a pickup truck with three men on Dec. 15, 2017, was identified through forensic examination, the Chanute Tribune reported.
Crafts death is being treated as suspicious, KBI announced in a call for more information. Those with any information regarding the crime are encouraged to contact the Neosho County Sheriffs Office, (620) 244-3888, or call (800) KS-CRIME.
