LAWRENCE — Humboldt High School students added to their school’s storied journalistic legacy Saturday, by winning their 22nd state sweepstakes championship at the Kansas Scholastic Press Association’s state competition. The event, for Class 3A schools, was hosted by the University of Kansas. Class 4A schools also had their state competition in Lawrence.

The latest championship is the eighth in a row, and 10th out of the past 11 years, for Humboldt High School.

The group continues to have the most overall and consecutive state journalism championships than any other high school in the state.
