Final bell rings for elementary schools

Longtime teacher Laura Caillouet-Weiner reflects on more than 40 years at Jefferson Elementary, while newer faculty members look forward to moving to a new Iola Elementary School. Iola's three elementary schools — McKinley, Lincoln and Jefferson — dismissed on Thursday for the final time.

Laura Caillouet-Weiner got a little emotional on the last day of school.

After more than 40 years, she’s saying goodbye to Jefferson Elementary School. 

She’ll keep teaching, but next year she’ll be moving to the new Iola Elementary School.
