Following four executive sessions, covering 30 minutes, Allen County commissioners folded their hands and adjourned their Tuesday morning meeting.

Reasons for secrecy concerned acquisition of property (twice), matters having to do with non-elected personnel and a fourth session to do with client-attorney privilege. All topics are allowed to be held in secret by the Kansas Open Meetings Act.

Otherwise, they instructed Ron Holman, maintenance supervisor, to look into repair of an awning atop the entrance door to the old ambulance station on North State Street, rather than replace it with new material. The building is used for storage and to give itinerant paramedics, serving shifts with the Iola-operated ambulance service, a place to spend off-duty time.
