The Dec. 9 meeting of the Iola City Slickers 4-H Club was called to order by President Jillian Keller.

Fifteen members and and a leader answered roll call with “What do you want for Christmas?” Carly Dreher led us singing in “Jingle Bells.” Club Leader Robbie Grisier explained how our club adopted two children for the holidays, and that next Sunday members will ring bells for Salvation Army. The district-wide skating party was Dec. 7 at Skate City in Chanute. Robbie reminded members to set 4-H goals for 2019 and that Club Day registration is open online. Terrell Mueller reported that air rifle and BB practices will be held at the Bressner Building in Yates Center. Brody Nemecek led a fun game of “Reindeer Ring Toss.” After the meeting was adjourned, members enjoyed a food gift exchange.

The next meeting will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Riverside Park Community Building.
